Grape Seed Extract (OPC) – Scientific Overview

Grape Seed Extract (GSE) is derived from the seeds of Vitis vinifera (red grapes). These seeds naturally contain high levels of compounds known as oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPCs). OPCs belong to a group of plant-based compounds called flavonoids or polyphenols, which are widely studied for their antioxidant properties.

Polyphenols found in grape seeds are recognized for their strong antioxidant activity.
